When compared to our Solv-Jet solvent ink (TSK2300), you can expect improved long-term recovery, higher optical density, and adherence to more substrates. This ink is now available solely in the 45si Cartridge. |

A new ink formula developed by HP specifically for specialty applications, including packaging materials and more challenging substrates.
Has outstanding decap, an unusual characteristic for solvent-based ink formula, so nozzles generally won't clog as much as with other solvent inks.
Very good optical density and print quality on many stocks.
Works well on many difficult substrates, including foil blister packs, flexible film, PVC, metals, pharmaceutical packaging, UV coatings, specialty labels and polypropylene.
Dries well on many stocks, even without dryer, but with some stocks, a dryer may enhance the drying and permanence of this ink.
Has a short shelf life of only months, so it should be ordered for specific jobs, not as a basic inventory ink. |

This is the first ink Collins developed for the mailing business. In addition to drying fast, the CM-290 is a very dark ink.
